Workshops, seminars and courses to learn something new.
Learning events in Sri Lanka cover a lot of ground: hands-on weekend workshops in photography, pottery, baking or coding; professional certification courses and exam-prep seminars; and public lectures and panel discussions hosted by universities and institutes. Most are small by design — a trainer, a room and a limited number of seats — which is exactly what makes them worth turning up for in person.
Colombo has the deepest bench of training institutes and studios, but Kandy, Galle and the campus towns host their share, and plenty of courses now run hybrid so you can join from anywhere. Weekends carry most of the schedule, and school-holiday months bring a wave of short courses for younger learners. Seats are capped, so book directly with the organiser as early as you can — popular workshops fill quietly, well before the day itself.
There are 2 upcoming education events listed in Sri Lanka. Venues include The College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka and Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).
