Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data IslandLive (operated by Revington Corporations (Pvt) Ltd) collects and how it is used.

What we collect

  • Account data — name, email, phone number when you register.
  • Organiser listing data — for organisers who publish events, the event details you submit and the payment reference returned by PayHere for your listing fee. We never receive or store card numbers. We do not sell tickets, so we do not collect buyer billing details or process ticket payments.
  • Usage data — anonymised page-view counts. We store a one-way hash, not your IP address, and it cannot be linked back to you. With your consent, Google Analytics additionally collects usage statistics as described below.

How we use it

  • To create your account and let you manage event listings.
  • To send service emails, such as confirming a listing was published.
  • To rank popular events on the site.

Sharing

Listing-fee payment data is shared with PayHere (our payment processor) to complete that transaction. When you follow an official-seller link on an event page, you leave IslandLive and any details you enter are handled by that seller under their own policy. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Retention and your rights

Account and listing records are retained for accounting purposes. You may request a copy of your data or deletion of your account by contacting support@islandlive.org.

Cookies

  • Essential cookies — required to keep you signed in. These are always on.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies (with your consent) — Google Analytics 4 (traffic statistics), Google Ads (conversion measurement) and Google AdSense (display advertising). These load only after you choose Accepton the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the page footer.

Advertising and analytics

If you accept advertising cookies, Google may use cookies and device identifiers to measure ad performance and to show you ads, including personalised ads where you have consented.
